A federal judge in Brooklyn ordered a trial for damages today against Arab Bank, PLC for families of victims in a Hamas terrorist financing case.

On September 22 this year, a U.S. District Court jury held Jordan-based Arab Bank, PLC liable for helping Hamas finance terror attacks against Americans in Israel.

An Egyptian diplomat told Egypt’s weekly Al-Ahram newspaper that Hamas’s militant extremism, together with that of Hizbollah and other radical Islamist groups, are preventing peace with Israel:

“Hamas and other Islamist groups are only acting to serve an Islamist and not a national interest. We cannot tolerate this. We certainly cannot tolerate what we have evidence to believe it is a coordinated effort between Hamas and other radical Islamic groups in the region — not necessarily ISIS but certainly Hizbollah, which is a militant group.”

Egypt knows Islamist extremism first-hand, having fought with the country’s Muslim Brotherhood for years.

The Hamas terrorist group’s Turkey branch, headed by Salah al-Arouri, plans terror attacks in Israel without regard for ramifications of what Hamas’s leadership in Gaza and elsewhere thinks, according to a new report.

The Indonesian government opposes Hamas’s efforts to open up a separate stand-alone office in Jakarta, because it “does not differentiate between factions in Palestine,” according to Hasan Kleib, the Indonesian Foreign Ministry’s director general for multilateral affairs (inset)

According to a report in The Jakarta Post, the fact that Indonesia doesn’t differentiate between different Palestinian factions was the reason for the refusal.


Hamas, however, has been trying to lobby Indonesia politicians to change their minds.
